Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation professional to join the Apprenticeship Team as an Assessor. This role involves managing a caseload of apprentices, carrying out workplace visits, assessing practical competence, and providing one-to-one coaching and support through to End Point Assessment. You will work closely with employers to ensure apprentices develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed in the industry.
Position Details
* West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds
* 1 FTE, 52 weeks per year – Permanent
* Salary: £32,205 – £36,084 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
* Actual Salary: Pro rated based on FTE
* Additional £3,000 Joining Bonus

Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (NVQ or equivalent)
* Minimum two years’ industry experience
* Confident communication skills and ability to work independently
Desirable
Teaching or assessing qualifications are desirable but not essential. Support will be provided to gain any required training.
Notes on joining bonus and policy
* This will be paid as £1,500 at the end of the first month of employment and £1,500 after six months of completed service. The entire sum will be repayable if you leave within the first two years of service. This only applies to direct applicants and not to those staff who come through an agency. Internal college policy applies.
