CLdN Ports wish to recruit a Stock Administrator to work within our Engineering department at our busy and expanding Ro-Ro Terminal. Reporting to the Workshop manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and have a flexible, professional and pro-active approach to work.
Your role
* Coordinating the day-to-day administration in relation to the stock control within the Workshop. Which will include, amongst other tasks, collection of deliveries, ordering parts, distribution of parts to engineers, ensuring all stock is logged and registered to relevant Engineers and machines, etc.
* Have the ability and confidence to produce accounts reports.
* Be involved in parts price negotiating and ordering and have a proactive approach in contacting suppliers to negotiate more competitive prices on stock ordered.
* Ensure that all stock items are logged and ordered when stock limits are met.
* Be responsible locating and stocking of parts in the warehouse including unloading stock deliveries using a fork lift truck ( full training given )
Your profile
* Be able to work as part of a team, be proactive and have good numerical skills.
* Have a good level of IT skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel. Knowledge on Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be an advantage.
* Possess the ability to prioritise and organise your workload with a flexible approach.
* Have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative and to tight timescales, are key requirements for this role.
* Ideally hold a Full UK driving licence and passport as travel to Belgium and the Netherlands will be required as part of ongoing training and development.
* A 3.5T or 5T FLT licence would be advantageous.
* It is essential that you have experience in a similar role and fast-moving environment, including a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and components.
