We are exclusively partnering with a leading national housebuilder to appoint an experienced Strategic Land Manager to cover the Midlands and Yorkshire regions.
This is a high-profile role within a well-funded, growth-focused business with a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential-led developments across the UK.
The Role
You will play a key role in identifying, securing and promoting strategic land opportunities, whilst also taking schemes through the planning and development lifecycle.
This is not a pure acquisition role — the client is specifically seeking someone who can originate opportunities and then actively drive them forward through promotion, planning and delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Identifying and acquiring strategic land opportunities (on and off market)
* Negotiating option, promotion and collaboration agreements
* Managing landowner, agent and promoter relationships
* Leading the promotion of sites through the Local Plan process
* Overseeing planning strategy and managing consultants through outline and detailed planning
* Working closely with technical, planning and commercial teams to ensure deliverable, viable schemes
* Managing projects through to implementable consent
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced land professional who can demonstrate:
* A strong track record in sourcing and acquiring strategic land
* Experience within a housebuilder, promoter or strategic land company
* Proven project management capability
* Strong experience managing the planning process, including detailed planning applications
* Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills
* The ability to manage schemes from early-stage identification through to planning approval
This role would suit someone operating at Strategic Land Manager level or an experienced Senior Land / Development Manager ready for a broader regional remit.
