Pipe Welder - AIT Mechanical Operations

Join a cutting-edge team supporting the space sector! We're seeking skilled Welding Technicians to contribute to the manufacture and integration of satellite propulsion systems. This is a hands-on role within the Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) group, where precision and quality are paramount.
🔧 What You'll Be Doing
Orbital welding of Titanium and Stainless Steel pipework using AMI 207A or Orbitec EVO200-WP systems.
Mechanical assembly and integration of propulsion systems for satellites.
Bonding components and preparing mechanical parts.
Working to engineering drawings and local documentation standards.
Identifying and escalating anomalies or deviations to quality leads.
🎯 What You'll Bring
Essential:
HNC/HND in Engineering or a relevant Apprenticeship (Aerospace/Space/high-quality production).
Experience working at height and in ISO 8 cleanroom environments.
Knowledge of H&S standards, manual handling, and FOD/DIM awareness.Desirable:
Experience with bonding brackets, wire thread installation, and thermal blanket (MLI) fitting.
Skilled in using hand measuring tools and orbital welding equipment.
Familiarity with pipework cleanliness control and welding repairs.
