Overview
SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in East Yorkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support. We transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND and other needs, including MLD/SLD, and support from our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Offer 1:1 tutoring with a holistic, trauma-informed approach to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes
* Plan each tutoring session and deliver engaging, needs-led learning
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress

Role details
* Work via flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
* Role involves working with local authorities and schools to support educational and social-emotional development
* Support is delivered through flexible engagements as part of a contract for service; paid via PAYE
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position; insurance covers work performed
Requirements
* Qualified Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD or other Additional Educational Needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (can assist with costs)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK (including remote assignments)
