You'll be part of the force behind some of the most advanced aerospace systems on the market - from air-to-air refuelling rigs to high-pressure ejection systems and next-gen defensive aids.Whether you're ex-Forces, aerospace-trained, or a hands-on technician with high-pressure systems experience, this is a unique opportunity to work on real hardware, in real test environments, with real responsibility.What Will I Be Doing?As a Test Technician (Live Firing Range) you'll support engineering teams through set-up, testing, data capture, and maintenance in a live test environment - including pyrotechnics, pneumatics, and high-speed capture systems.Your role will include:Running explosive test set-ups for air-to-air and air-to-ground ejection systemsSupporting live testing of refuelling systems using AAR rigsOperating and maintaining critical test equipment (calibration, returns, traceability)Compiling and analysing engineering test dataPerforming DAQ fault-finding and assisting with technical troubleshootingSupporting high-speed camera operationsManaging area control: access, asset allocation, and maintenanceDriving continuous improvement and applying 5S principles to keep the range safe and efficientWho Are We Looking For?You're methodical under pressure, detail-focused, and thrive in highly controlled technical environments. You'll likely come from one of these backgrounds:Level 5 - Ex-RAF or similar with direct experience in explosive test facilities, diagnostics, calibration, and fire/control systemsLevel 4 - Solid technical experience bridging hands-on skills and system-level knowledgeLevel 3 - Strong technician-level skill set with fault-finding ability and high-pressure system familiarity (aviation background not essential)What Do I Need?Recognised aerospace apprenticeship or HM Forces engineering backgroundONC/HNC or equivalent (dependant on experience level)Minimum 3 years' aerospace or high-reliability sector experienceCompetence with test procedures, fault-finding, and data systemsUnderstanding of safe systems of work, risk assessments, and engineering standardsA team-first mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skillsReady to Push Boundaries?Ready to test real systems with real impact?
