Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated registered nurse with extensive experience in Mental Health/Learning Disabilities or Neurodevelopmental Services to fill a prescribing post. The role is integral to ensuring continuity of care post‑diagnosis, particularly in medication initiation and ongoing management.
The position supports the strategic objective of progressing towards a more aligned and integrated Neurodevelopmental model, working closely between the Adult ADHD Service and the Integrated Autism Service. The successful candidate will lead complex diagnostic assessments, formulation discussions and apply diagnostic criteria in line with national guidance.

Responsibilities
* Visible and professional clinical leader with day‑to‑day operational responsibility for the adult ADHD service.
* Lead service development activity and quality improvement work.
* Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing key strategic, clinical and operational changes to services in line with service reviews.
* Lead complex diagnostic assessments and differential assessments, formulation discussions, applying diagnostic criteria.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities or Mental Health (RNLD/RNMH).
* Experience in a senior leadership role.
* Experience in LD services.
* Experience of multidisciplinary team working.
* Desirable: Strategic management experience, budget management, performance management.
* Desirable: Masters degree, management or leadership qualification.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Demonstrate effective leadership skills.
* Knowledge of strategic drivers in LD.
* Experience managing others.
* Advanced decision‑making skills.
* Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh.

Employment Details
* Band: 8a
* Salary: £58,379 to £65,723 per annum.
* Contract: Secondment, fixed‑term until 31 March 2027.
* Working pattern: Full‑time.
* Location: Torfaen Business Centre, Panteg Way, Pontypool.
