A Liverpool-based accountancy firm is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior to join their team. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth for the firm. It is an independent, mid-sized firm with clients across various industries including manufacturing, haulage, retail, and recruitment. Your new role
As an Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior, you will lead smaller audits with turnovers up to £25m, from planning to completion, and assist with larger audits for clients with turnovers up to £250m. You will supervise and train junior staff, prepare year-end accounts, review work done by others, and provide feedback. Additionally, you will assist with bookkeeping, VAT queries, and the preparation of management accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in accounts or audit within a practice, with familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. Experience with client bookkeeping, VAT returns, Corporation Tax, and management information is desirable. Qualifications can include ACCA, ACA, AAT, or equivalent experience (QBE).
What you'll get in return
