Overview
Seeking an experienced ForgeRock Administrator with active SC security clearance to support, maintain, and enhance the organisation’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform built on the ForgeRock Identity Platform (AM, IDM, DS). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in secure environments, government or defence, and hands-on expertise in ForgeRock administration and configuration.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day administration of ForgeRock Access Management (AM), Identity Management (IDM), and Directory Services (DS).
* Configure authentication, authorisation, federation, SSO, password policies, and access flows.
* Manage directory structures, identity repositories, schemas, and integration points.
* Monitor platform performance, availability, and security posture.
* Implement patches, upgrades, hotfixes, and maintain version control.
* Troubleshoot IAM, SSO, and directory issues across complex environments.
* Support API integrations, connectors, and workflows.
* Work closely with security, architecture, and application teams to ensure compliance with SC-cleared environments.
* Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and admin guides.
* Maintain IAM service reliability, performance, and security best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Active SC Clearance (no exceptions).
* Strong hands-on experience with ForgeRock AM, IDM, DS administration.
* Expertise in authentication/authorisation standards (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT).
* Experience with directory technologies (LDAP, DS/OpenDJ).
* Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Groovy, JavaScript, Python).
* Understanding of identity lifecycle management, provisioning, and RBAC.
* Experience troubleshooting SSO, federation, and token flows.
* Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
* Experience in secure, government, or regulated environments.
