Overview
We are looking for 4 x Class 1/C+E Drivers at our distribution centre in Sherburn in Elmet, within our Sainsbury's contract.

There are two shift options:
1) Start time between 17:00 - 18:45
2) Start time between 23:00 - 00:45
18 day rotating rota over 4 weeks, the working pattern will include full weekends.
Working pattern
Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 3 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 4 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
10 hour shifts, flexibility required.
Contracted to 180 hours hours per 4 weekly pay period.
Minimum of 12 months class 1 driving experience required
Pay rates
Basic rate £19.12
Night Shift Premium (Mon-Fri 18:00 - 06:00) £3.41
Night Shift Premium (Sat & Sun 18:00 - 06:00) £3.41
Saturday premium £5.62
Sunday premium £9.21
How will you contribute?
· Delivering stock to the stores in a professional, economical and safe manner, whilst following company procedures and maintaining the company image to provide a quality service to the stores.
· Work as trained to ensure that the transport operation achieves the targeted daily and weekly KPIs
· The role involves both class 1 driving and class 2 driving daily
· To undertake general duties which support the transport function efficiently and effectively
· To report incidents or accidents that occur whilst on the road, at store or at depot
· Comply with driver hours legislation and all road traffic regulations.
· Comply with health and safety regulations
· To present vehicles for routine service or in need of defect repair to the maintenance provider.
· Ensure vehicle is sealed before and after delivery.
· Adhere to company procedures in connection with PPE and company uniform
· Undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function and department.
· Elements of manual handling will be involved in this role.
What will you bring?
· Must have a minimum of 12 months class 1 driving experience
· Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines
· A good communicator both verbal and written
· The right driver would be willing to do both class 1 and class 2 driving daily
· A flexible team-based approach
· Awareness of Transport and Health and Safety legislation
· Ability to act on instruction
