Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is excited to announce an opportunity for a Pregnancy Loss Lead Midwife to join our maternity team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced midwife to provide vital bereavement services to women, their families, and staff at Frimley Park Hospital.
This is a job share position with the current post holder, working 18.75 hours per week.
Main duties of the role
As the Pregnancy Loss Lead, you will:
* Act as a clinical specialist providing verbal and written information to bereaved families and supporting women and their families experiencing fetal loss and/or childbirth-related difficulties.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including Fetal Medicine, Mental Health, Perinatal Pathologists, etc., to provide seamless services to these families.
* Provide highly specialist guidance and support to midwifery, nursing, and medical staff within the Women's Directorate when caring for women experiencing pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or early neonatal death.
* Serve as an educational resource for staff on physical, psychological, and administrative aspects of bereavement care, and provide training and support on bereavement-related issues.

Qualifications
* Registered Midwife
* Leadership/Management training
Experience
* Experience in supporting bereaved parents
* Experience as a Band 6 Registered Midwife
Skills and Knowledge
* Awareness of national and local healthcare goals and expectations

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure check will be required to screen for any criminal convictions.
Salary: £50,008 to £56,908 per year (pro rata, including HCAS)
