Job Title: SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bromley. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to high-quality education and tailored support that enables them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver targeted interventions and learning support to pupils with SEND.
2. Plan and deliver small group or 1:1 sessions, under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff.
3. Support the development of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
4. Assist in monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
5. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals.
6. Provide classroom support and cover lessons as required.
Requirements:
7. HLTA qualification (or equivalent) with proven SEND experience.
8. Strong understanding of a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).
9. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
10. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
11. A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
