The role is part time and permanent. You'll be on a part time basis, working 28.8 hours per week (4 days per week). Sitting in the West Regional Volunteer & Engagement Team, this role will support our mission by fostering strong connections between sites and their local communities. Working alongside another West V&E Team Site Coordinator you will play a key role in the operational management of the Guided Tour and Free to Enter sites, including health & safety, site presentation and compliance. You will work alongside the Regional Volunteer and Engagement Manager supporting the management of formalised partnerships (such as Maintained Properties Agreements), and deputising when required. This role can be based at our Bristol office, or homebased within the West Region. As many of our sites are remote and are spread across the West Region, a significant amount of travel is to be expected in this role, along with occasional (at least one day a month) weekend working. As Volunteer & Engagement Team Site Coordinator, you will co-ordinate activity at the Guided Tour and Free to Enter Sites in the West Region, acting as a first point of contact for these sites. A key focus will be on ensuring that these sites are well cared for, well presented and safe by managing programmes of site checks, compliance activity and cyclical tasks. You'll provide support to our team of Volunteer and Community Engagement Managers, assisting with volunteer related administration such as processing volunteer hours and expenses. You will work closely with local partners by proactively developing strong working relationships, reviewing contracted relationships on an annual basis and ensuring the sites in your area thrive. To be considered as a Volunteer and Engagement Site Co-ordinator, you'll need: Experience of working with external partners and community stakeholders. Experience of devising and delivering activities with volunteers, artists and freelancers. To have an understanding of the principles of good Health & Safety management. To have good organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload. To be able to prioritise and to show initiative.
