Welcome From The Principal
Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park and with spectacular views of the coastline. We are extremely proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community of Marske and surrounding areas. Our recent Ofsted Inspection recognised the many strengths of the school as we secured judgements of Good across all areas. The report was extremely positive and had many highlights, including that we are 'an ambitious school with high standards', that 'Staff care deeply for pupils', that 'Pupils are happy and demonstrate industrious attitudes to learning' and that 'Pupils experience great success'.

* Engage students and parents to discuss reasons for absence, offering appropriate support and challenge.
* Prepare and present detailed attendance data for monitoring and reports, process referrals for Fixed Penalty Notices, and publicise attendance information through various channels.
* Daily home visits are required; a full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle are essential.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with diverse audiences.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in standard ICT packages, Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience in a school environment or attendance-related role preferable.
* Experience using CMIS or SIMS software desirable.
* A satisfactory DBS check is mandatory.
* Resilience and ability to work in difficult situations, including conflict, while remaining professional.
Benefits
* Secure Pay & Pension: Competitive salary, automatic pay progression, enrolment in the Local Government Pension Scheme.
* Training & Progression: Access to diverse CPD opportunities, including apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.
* Flexibility & Leave: Flexible family policies, enhanced occupational benefits with no qualifying period, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays for non-term time staff (holiday for part-time staff calculated on a pro‑ra‑ta basis).
* Wellbeing & Perks: Dedicated mental well‑being strategy, free on‑site parking, employee discounts, and comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme.
