About the Role: As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support students in their learning and personal development, working closely with teachers and support staff. Responsibilities: Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour plans tailored to each student’s needs. Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages trust and positive relationships. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and external professionals to provide consistent support. Monitor and report on student progress, behaviour, and participation. Support students with emotional regulation, social interactions, and engagement in lessons. Assist with personal care and daily routines where necessary, ensuring dignity and respect. Use effective communication strategies to encourage active participation in activities. Qualifications: Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or similar needs is preferred. Understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs and effective support strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students. Patient, compassionate, and committed to student well-being and development.
