Equans is looking for a HR Advisor to join us, working from our offices in Media City, Salford (with limited travel within the region) on a temporary basis of 6 months. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £33,000 - £38,000 per annum, based on skills and experience as well as benefits package. This is a rare opportunity to join us as a HR Advisor. Reporting to the HRBP, you will be responsible for the provision of HR Advisor support to the HRBP for people matters across the Private Sector, Project Management Office and Lifecycle teams, based across the UK. Supporting the HRBP and operational line manages to deliver improvements in people management, culture, change management, compliance and cost control to drive improved performance, engagement and financial results. This role will be based in Manchester, and there will be a requirement for regular travel to other parts of the UK. What will you deliver? Member of HR Team which collectively enables delivery of people plans and business as usual objectives.Be embedded in the business, engage in all aspects of business where there are people implications.Advise line managers in relation to competencies / behaviours and liaising with the resourcing team to optimise recruitment opportunities.Generate attendance management reports and highlighting areas of concern, agreeing plans to improve with line managers and supporting delivery. Advise on early-stage grievance / disciplinary action/s including attendance at hearings as appropriate.Coach line managers on grievance / disciplinary / absence / capability cases.Monitor of the annual PDR cycle, acting as a super-user and ensuring completion in a timely manner. (frontline trackers to be completed by contracts and sent to HRA).Support with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time.Support the launch of new policies & processes, conducting workshops / webinars where appropriate.Provide general HR assistance and acting as the link between the HR operations team and Employee Services in the Equans Business Service Centre.Advise line managers on employee engagement initiatives to ensure best practice.Maintain a continuous professional development log (CPD).Support TUPE transfers In and Out and act as initial contact.Compliance checking and review including clearances, adherence to governance and process controls and GDPR, to escalate any issues to the HRBP.Co ordinate the Remco process as required.Support structural change and mobilisations.Adhere to and promote compliance with the Equans ethics policy. Qualified or part-qualified CIPD member (desirable not essential).Experience in an Operational HRA Advisor role.Track-record in HR generalist and change management roles.Ability to build relationships and develop a proactive approach.Some knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.Proven ability to work on own initiative and within a team.Strong ability to communicate in person, email and letter.Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving.Experience of gathering and presenting data.Practical approach to problem solving.
