About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and body-related repairs. This role is ideal for someone with technical expertise, a passion for vehicles, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair vehicle faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software
* Perform routine servicing and mechanical repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrics
* Carry out welding and equipment repairs when required
* Conduct vehicle diagnostics, including ADAS and geometry calibration
* Complete pre-MOT repairs to VOSA standards
* Perform repairs on specialist vehicles, including Ambulance Trust vehicles
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
* Safely handle heavy lifting tasks during maintenance and repairs
* Collaborate effectively as part of a small, dedicated team
About You
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
* Full UK driving licence; C1 licence desirable
* F-Gas accreditation desirable but not essential
* Confident using hand/power tools and diagnostic software
* Strong understanding of technical schematics and fault diagnosis
* Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Right to work in the UK
