Role Purpose

To ensure a smooth and safe Academy matchday experience for Players, Parents, Staff, and Match Officials at our Training Centre. This role focuses on the operational aspects of match days within the Academy, ensuring everything runs efficiently and according to protocol.


Key Responsibilities

* Welcoming scouts, registering Scouts into the Training Centre and chaperoning to pitches
* Led by our Academy Liaison Officer, helping with club arrivals and showing to changing rooms (including for recruitment events).
* Directing parents and spectators in the correct direction of pitches. Making sure that parents/spectators are adhering to the Training Centre Code of Conduct.
* Helping with opposition club parking support.
* Monitoring spectator and scout conduct pitch side. Ensuring all spectators are correctly situated.
* Welcoming officials and ensuring all queries they have are answered effectively.
* Supporting the Academy Operations and Administration department with distribution of Team sheets (PDP)
* Supporting players and parents being chaperoned to certain areas of the Training Centre ensuring all visitors adhere to our Health and Safety guidelines.
* Supporting the security of the Training Centre building, before, during and after fixtures.
* Collect scout passes from pitch side where possible.
* Liaising with grounds and coaching staff to ensure correct goals are set up on the correct pitches and coordinating with TC Ops where necessary
* Reporting incidents to our Training Centre Security & Academy Operations Team that are required to be logged


Safeguarding Responsibilities

* Have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. Act in accordance with the organisation’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
* Be alert to signs of abuse, neglect, or safeguarding concerns and report these appropriately
* Maintain professional boundaries and act as a positive role model when working with or around children
* Attend safeguarding training as required and keep knowledge up to date


Person Specification

* A determination to maintain high standards and smooth working practices in the Academy
* Motivation to work with children and young people
* Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people and Parents/Spectators
* Approachable and calm mannerisms with the ability to work under pressure
* Commitment to promoting inclusion and celebrating diversity


What You Will Bring

* Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent listening skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* Good organisation skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines
* Good attention to detail
* Effective time management and planning skills


Desirable – Qualifications and Skills

* An awareness of EPPP, PGAAC and PLYD rules
* Experience in using Teamworks HUB platform
* FA Safeguarding Children
* Experience of working within an elite sporting environment
