Their work spans talent bookings, brand campaigns, appearance fees, royalties, content deals, and production activity. Our client is looking for finance assistant, studying AAT or equivalent, to support the finance team with day-to-day transaction processing, record-keeping, and client-related financial workflows. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to gain more experience but also brings a good skill set. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing high-volume client-related transactions, preparing reconciliations, and supporting daily finance operations. Key Responsibilities Enter daily financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records, ensuring data integrity. Verify the accuracy of entered information by cross-checking against contracts, invoices, and booking confirmations. Support the preparation of internal financial reports as required. Process invoices, expenses, client billing statements, and supplier payments, ensuring timely turnaround. Assist with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations for both company and client accounts. Specific Tasks Process appearance fees, commissions, royalties, and brand partnership payments. Track and document incoming payments tied to talent work (campaigns, shoots, live appearances, licensing). Ensure accurate calculation of agency commissions and VAT treatment based on type of client engagement. Maintain organised digital records for contracts, bookings, statements, and supporting documentation. Assist in preparing client remittance statements and ensuring invoices are paid on time. Liaise with talent managers and agents to resolve discrepancies or gather supporting financial documents. General Administration Duties Provide general administrative assistance to the bookkeeper or finance manager as needed. Support month-end processes including reconciliation schedules and transaction reviews. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data processing. Strong numeracy skills and ability to work with multiple revenue streams. Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially around high-profile talent and sensitive financial information. Comfortable working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or industry equivalents Strong Excel skills and tech confidence.
