Due to our business growth, we have exciting new opportunities for qualified Speech and Language Therapists to join our passionate and forward-thinking service.
You will work in and around the Grimsby area, in various settings including schools, clinics, and more. Our service offers assessments, therapy, and training both virtually and face-to-face.
We have a robust clinical supervision structure and regular in-house CPD. For NQPs, we provide additional support and clinical supervision through our in-house, core skills development programme.
Main duties of the job
1. Coordinate the provision of suitable Speech and Language Therapy services based on client needs.
2. Participate in assessment and diagnosis of children/young people with a range of SLCN.
3. Provide high-quality support to students, apprentices, and SLTAs/Communication and Language Specialists.
4. Support the growth and development of ChatterBug by representing the organisation locally and nationally.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical
* Assess, diagnose, and support children with SLCN, including complex needs.
* Ensure client-focused assessments and treatments.
* Represent the service at health and education panels as required.
* Advise on optimizing communication environments considering the skills of parents, carers, and professionals.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate speech and language therapy programmes, demonstrating clinical effectiveness with evidence-based practices.
Communication
* Employ excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Effectively communicate assessment and treatment information to clients, carers, and professionals.
* Produce detailed reports and accessible advice for diverse audiences.
* Involve clients, parents, and staff in planning and prioritising treatment plans.
* Contribute to legal documents like Education, Health and Care Plans, and Annual Reviews.
* Maintain accurate case notes per professional standards and data protection guidelines.
Governance and Data Protection
* Gather statistical data punctually and participate in research and audit projects.
* Understand safeguarding, SEN procedures, and legal frameworks.
* Comply with Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR, and confidentiality policies.
* Maintain clinical and corporate records to standard and data quality standards.
Professional Development
* Identify personal development goals within an appraisal framework.
* Engage in self-guided study and continuous professional development.
* Attend relevant training and adhere to professional guidelines.
Analytical Skills
* Reflect on practice and identify development needs.
