Are you a qualified Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse with a passion for mental health care? We are looking for compassionate professionals to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service – PATH (Psychosis: Prevention, Assessment and Treatment in Hertfordshire). Based in Stevenage and covering a specified area in East & North Hertfordshire, this role supports people experiencing psychosis for the first time, delivering personalised and recovery-focused care.
Responsibilities
* Act as an active member of a skilled multi-disciplinary team within the St Albans and Harpenden Team.
* Provide care planning and care coordination for people with first-episode psychosis.
* Work flexibly and creatively with service users to achieve individual goals.
* Provide clinical and operational day‑to‑day service delivery, including assessment and care programme approach.
* Supervise, develop and, where appropriate, teach junior staff and/or students.
* Travel locally, working in people's homes and local hub buildings rather than across the entire county.
* Receive training as a family intervention therapist and apply family interventions in practice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree level education or equivalent academic qualification (Diploma/Degree in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy).
* Registration with the NMC or HCPC.
* Solid Band 5 experience and a willingness to pursue advance training in mental health.
* Experience in acute mental health inpatient or day care services.
* Experience working in crisis and emotionally demanding environments.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes, dealing with family breakdown, serious mental ill health and risk of self‑harm.
* Experience of partnership working with service users and carers, demonstrating dignity and respect.
* Experience of teaching and training (desirable).
Essential Skills
* Excellent communication ability with a wide range of stakeholders, including service users, carers, colleagues and community organisations, both verbally and in writing.
* Proficiency in electronic recording systems and ability to produce accurate, timely reports.
* Access to own transportation for travel to various locations across the service area.
