About the Role: Our client is looking to recruit an experienced, focused and meticulous Technical Designer to become a valuable part of their established team. This position is based on site at their design and manufacturing facility in Cross Hills, West Yorkshire. The role involves working to strict weekly deadlines to ensure timely submission of client drawing approvals and production ready drawings. Key Responsibilities of the Technical Designer role: Ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of bespoke joinery items that form part of a broader design scheme, taking into account client requirements, material costs, manufacturing capabilities, installation constraints, and drawing deadlines. Produce clear, high quality approval and production drawings to an exceptional standard. Conduct design and model reviews with workshop teams to confirm and sign off final details. Research and integrate appropriate components and fittings as required for each item. Prepare a detailed bill of materials/requisition covering all necessary materials and fittings. Generate and thoroughly self check a cutting list and corresponding manufacturing drawings to be issued to the workshop. Take site conditions and access restrictions into consideration to ensure the design is practical, buildable and installable on site. Skills and experience required: Minimum 2 years' experience producing detailed technical drawings, ideally for bespoke furniture manufacturing or within construction Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential, along with strong general IT skills Proven ability to manage and organise information across multiple projects at once Self motivated with a consistent focus on accuracy, detail and high quality output A collaborative and respectful team player who welcomes feedback and values the input of others Excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual What our client offers: Salary of £27,000 - £35,000 pa - depending on experience Holidays - 30 days including bank holidays Monday - Friday, flexi time on offer Free on site parking Casual dress Excellent career progression If you have a passion and natural flair for technical design and thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
