Based in Ansty Park, Coventry, and Troy, Indiana, the role focuses on thermal management capabilities within the Gas Turbine Fluid System Division. Role Summary
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee a contracts team comprising Contract Specialists and Customer Representatives across two manufacturing sites. Your responsibilities include developing, negotiating, and managing various contracts, leading the site contract management function by setting goals, policies, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
You will act as an internal expert on contracting processes, regulatory requirements, negotiation techniques, and risk evaluation. The role involves overseeing programs, conducting risk management reviews, and managing change processes with the Business Unit Manager or Business Team Leader.
Core Responsibilities
* Manage customer relationships related to pricing negotiations and settlements.
* Set direction for the team, develop and mentor staff, and promote professional certification and career growth within the contracts management community.
* Potentially handle duties related to Export Compliance, including division-wide programs and acting as Export Administrator.
* Investigate compliance issues, respond to internal, customer, and government inquiries.
* Coordinate training and meetings to facilitate contract review processes.
* Develop programs to enhance cross-functional understanding of contracting policies.
* Maintain contacts with domestic and international military and civilian representatives, customers, and government officials.
* Analyze problems, evaluate internal processes, and coordinate responses.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* Proficiency in contract management tools, techniques, and risk management.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Thorough understanding of legal principles and high-risk contractual terms.
* Ability to build partnerships with customers, end-users, and suppliers.
* Knowledge of product lines and marketplace related to assigned contracts.
* Understanding of business concepts and accounting principles for project budgeting.
* Knowledge of product, program, and operational relationships in contracting.
* Familiarity with estimation, critical path analysis, and earned value management.
* Effective communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to influence decisions and negotiate resource allocation.
