Job Title: Director – Site & Commercial Operations
We are now recruiting for a Director – Site & Commercial Operations. This role is a senior leader in px Group’s Power & Renewables portfolio, accountable for delivering safe, reliable, compliant and commercially strong operations across multiple client sites. It blends people leadership, client portfolio ownership and commercial accountability, leading engaged high‑performing teams that deliver agreed operational performance.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact: you will be a senior figure in px’s growth journey, reporting directly to the Managing Director, shaping how we operate today and helping us win tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary senior point of contact for site owners and partners, building strong relationships based on trust, delivery and commercial value
* Lead safe, reliable and compliant operation of multiple sites, ensuring Zero Harm and embedding px’s SHEQ and compliance standards
* Ensure px meets and exceeds contractual commitments, leading monthly governance meetings and providing transparent reporting
* Proactively identify and capture opportunities for additional services and portfolio growth
* Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across operations, engineering, SHEQ and commercial functions, fostering collaboration and accountability to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes
* Oversee plant performance, outages and improvement projects, ensuring best practice and consistency across the portfolio
* Drive integration and transition of new sites into px, embedding systems, standards and culture from day one
* Hold full P&L accountability for your portfolio, delivering EBITDA targets and maximising commercial outcomes
* Develop and manage site AOPs and budgets, identifying efficiency opportunities and protecting value
* Ensure robust governance, transparent reporting and alignment of commercial performance with client expectations
* Lead, inspire and develop plant and site management teams, setting a strong culture of safety, accountability and performance
* Provide coaching, clear objectives and development pathways for direct reports
* Create a culture of collaboration across sites and functions, ensuring px teams feel part of a wider shared success
Minimum Requirements
* Proven senior leadership experience in industrial operations (energy, renewables, power or major infrastructure)
* Strong client‑facing skills, able to build relationships with owners, investors and regulators, combining credibility with influence
* Commercial acumen, experienced in managing P&L, contracts and governance, with a record of delivering EBITDA growth
* A track record of plant leadership, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operations
* Ability to lead through change, integrating new sites and embedding new ways of working
* Degree‑qualified (engineering or technical discipline preferred); management or commercial qualifications an advantage
