Monday - Friday 8:00 - 16:30 (40 hours a week) Onsite role Application deadline 1 June 2026 The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the Assistant Production Manager, as well as setting up and operating machinery when required. The role involves coordinating daily production activities by aligning output with production schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring effective allocation of tasks across the team. Duties and Responsibilities Production Oversight Support the planning, coordination, and supervision of manufacturing processes. Track production schedules to ensure products are completed and delivered on time. Detect workflow inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity. Quality Assurance Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications. Manage non-conformances, including scrap and rework, taking corrective action as needed. Encourage and uphold a right-first-time approach to manufacturing. Leadership & Team Management Act as the link between management and shopfloor teams. Provide visible leadership and support to manufacturing Maintain a regular presence on the shopfloor Coach individuals in the moment to reinforce correct ways of working Act as the first point of contact for questions or operational concerns Record attendance, timekeeping and payroll-related information accurately through required channels Conduct return-to-work meetings and support absence management Contribute to investigations and performance-related discussions Monitor productivity, accuracy and adherence to standard processes Highlight performance gaps and support agreed corrective actions Contribute to improvements in how manufacturing operates Remain flexible and hands-on in a changing environment Process Improvement Drive productivity and efficiency improvements Support Lean, 5S, and standard work initiatives Reduce waste, downtime, and variation Health & Safety Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Complete routine safety, housekeeping and compliance checks Identify hazards or unsafe behaviour and ensure appropriate action is taken Support incident reporting and follow-up where required. Person Specification Qualifications NVQ/ Level 3 qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Operations. (Desirable) Skills Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. (Essential) Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and effectively coach others. (Essential) Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise workloads. (Essential) Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. (Essential) Strong teamworking skills with the ability to use initiative and work independently. (Essential) Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), lean manufacturing, and quality management. (Desirable) High level of IT proficiency, including MS Office (inc. Excel) and other tools such as Statti to maximise efficiency. (Essential) Excellent time-management, planning, and organisational skills to meet deadlines and effective delegation skills to handle multiple properties. (Essential) Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail across both individual tasks and team deliverables. (Essential) Knowledge An understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards. Strong understanding of confidentiality especially in the context of employee data. Experience 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision. (Essential) Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is highly desirable. (Essential) Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
