Are you looking to work in a fast paced, dynamic clinical environment? Would you like to develop specialist surgical intensive care and pathway-based high dependency nursing skills and knowledge? Do you like to be challenged and think autonomously? If so, we have vacancies for Band 5 nurses on our OIR (Overnight Intensive Recovery)/Surgical Intensive Care.
OIR is an 11-bedded unit that manages level three patients post operatively. These patients include elective cardiac, gastrointestinal, general surgical and vascular. They require highly specialist care including ventilation, pacing, inotropic support and advanced monitoring including spinal drains and Intra Aortic Balloon Pump.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for nurses with a willingness to learn, that thrive under pressure and have the ability to adapt and refine their skills according to the demands of the unit.
Would you like to work as a Band 5 Staff Nurse in one of the largest Critical Care departments in the UK? We are currently recruiting experienced & motivated Nurses to work in Overnight Intensive Recovery, no previous critical care experience required (High Dependency or Intensive Care), who are looking for an innovative, challenging and inspirational career experience.
