Function / Area: Performance & Governance Team/ IT & Operations Reports To: Performance, Quality & Governance Director Position Summary The Senior PMO Analyst is responsible for executing portfolio and programme-level governance and assurance for major change, including setting standards, leading controls, and providing insight to senior forums. As well as responsibility for their own deliverables, the Senior PMO Analyst is expected to maintain core control artefacts, data quality and reporting cadence to enable disciplined delivery. The role focuses on operating established standards (stage gates, documentation, RAID, financial tracking) and preparing evidence packs for assurance and audit. The role is responsible for preparing monthly governance reporting to executive level ensuring the maintenance of appropriate performance metrics with functional leads. The Snr PMO Analyst will support the Vendor Manager with governance activities, overseeing supplier performance, contractual compliance, and effective governance of third‑party relationships. The scope of the role encompasses all CNA Hardy UK & European offices. Key Responsibilities Governance ownership & assurance : manage the portfolio governance framework (stage gates, artefact standards, quality checks); run assurance reviews and track remediation to closure; drive audit readiness and responses. Financial control: manage project financial controls (PO/invoice hygiene/updates, accruals, burn rates, benefits capture); provide appropriate insights/escalations and recommendations to the Performance & Governance and Transformation Directors. Enterprise tooling : act as Planview/reporting product owner for the CNAH portfolio—define requirements for dashboards and data quality rules; enforce compliance across projects. Change control authority: coordinate change control for major initiatives; ensure impacts are quantified and drive decision making. Dependency & risk management: coordinate cross-project dependencies and critical-path risks with clear mitigation plans. Vendor Governance: ensure appropriate capture of data for IT&Ops vendors, working closely with the Vendor Manager to maintain a supplier inventory, tiering criteria and governance checkpoints. Executive reporting: craft narrative-led executive packs with trend analysis, risks & issues and recommendations. Adhere to and champion corporate methodologies and best practices. Manage your own time and workload in line with demand and schedules. Escalate issues to senior management as appropriate and in a timely manner. Perform other duties as directed by the PQ& G Director or Senior Management Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Demonstrates in-depth PMO experience with proven leadership of governance and assurance across complex portfolios. Good knowledge of the insurance or financial services industries preferred. Advanced proficiency in Planview or equivalent tooling, MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint; able to design reporting standards and dashboards. Must understand the theory and best practices that exist around programme and project management with knowledge of a formal project management methodology. Strong financial acumen (forecasting, accruals, benefits realisation) and ability to present insights to executive audiences. Good matrix management skills and ability to balance competing priorities in time sensitive situations. Capable of prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to build strong working relationships within the team, business departments, and 3rd parties with ease. Have a flexible approach to working hours to meet business requirements. Exceptional communication, facilitation and influencing skills; comfortable challenging and guiding senior stakeholders.
