A welcoming and inclusive school in East London is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a real impact in the classroom.
The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and in whole-class settings. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to help ensure every child has access to a positive and engaging learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with their academic, emotional, and social development
* Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
* Provide targeted interventions and support for individuals and small groups
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Monitor pupil progress and report back to teaching staff
* Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
* A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or CACHE) desirable but not essential
