Job Title: Regeneration Manager
Location: Berkshire / Hybrid
Contract: 6-months ongoing
Pay: £500 to £550 per day Inside IR35 - Negotiable
A Local Authority based in Berkshire are currently recruiting for an Interim Regeneration Manager.
Main Responsibilities
About the role:
1. To lead the management of the £8.6m Reading Library relocation and the Civic Redesign Levelling Up Fund project as determined by the Levelling Up Fund bid. As an internal client side Project Manager, you will take the project through the project life cycle from inception to delivery, taking responsibility for the procurement of the multi-disciplinary teams covering design and construction and main contractors. To work closely with all internal workstreams leads including Construction, Design, Libraries, Customer, IT/Digital, Property & Assets and Support Services (HR, Finance, Communications), ensuring progress and delivery is maintained and in line with target dates within the programme. To work with the Programme Management Office and in close collaboration with Finance, other Council teams and external partners and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for placemaking in Reading.
Qualifications/Experience
2. Experience in managing construction project of £5+ million, ideally in an office environment and in local government.
3. Experience in managing a design and build project with a main contractor
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. A proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to effectively manage/oversee multiple project workstreams simultaneously
6. Matrix management experience
7. Must be articulate, able to communicate with multiple levels of clients and stakeholders, coordinating with various stakeholders
8. Experience in managing DHLUC funded projects a bonus
