Transaction Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Transaction Manager to join our successful motor dealership team. As a key member of the sales management team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end vehicle sales process, ensuring compliance, profitability, and an outstanding customer experience. You will support the sales team in structuring deals, securing finance approvals, and upselling value-added products while maintaining FCA compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Structure and finalise vehicle sales deals, ensuring profitability for the dealership and value for the customer.
* Secure finance and insurance approvals from partner lenders, managing proposals, re-submissions, and documentation.
* Maximise income from finance, insurance, and value-added products (e.g. GAP insurance, paint protection, service plans).
* Ensure all finance and insurance paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with FCA and dealership regulations.
* Act as the point of contact between the sales team, customers, and finance providers.
* Monitor deal pipeline and assist sales executives in closing business efficiently and effectively.
* Support the Sales Manager with performance reporting, forecasting, and staff training on F&I processes.
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge across the vehicle range and financial offerings.
* Promote a culture of customer excellence, ensuring satisfaction and regulatory standards are met.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a dealership-based Transaction Manager or Business Manager role.
* Strong knowledge of automotive finance and insurance products.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
* High attention to detail, with a focus on process compliance and documentation.
* FCA accreditation (or ability to gain it quickly).
* IT-literate with experience using dealership management systems (DMS).
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Desirable:
* IMI Accreditation (F&I or Sales Management).
* Experience working with manufacturer-led finance schemes.
* Leadership experience or potential to step into a Sales Manager role in the future.
