About Cornfield School:
At Cornfield School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and structured environment for boys aged 8 to 16 who face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Located in Littlehampton, West Sussex, our school is designed to support each student's unique needs, fostering their academic, personal, and social development. We believe in the potential of every child and strive to equip them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in life and become responsible, contributing members of society.
The Role:
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join Cornfield School. The successful applicant will work alongside our friendly and supportive team of professionals who put the students at the heart of what we do.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate robustness & resilience as the role can be extremely rewarding but very demanding. It is important to be able to maintain a level of calm and have excellent communication skills with both adults and young people. It is essential to have good organisational skills, the ability to multitask and act as a role model for students.
The ideal applicant will have recent experience of working with children with SEN, however experience in Social, Emotional and Communication Difficulties would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a good school (OFSTED June 2021) that focuses on supporting SEMH students to become more independent and provide them with skills and experiences that will enable them to be successful in life.
