Vets4pets at the Nook in South Shields has recently seen new practice owners, Kirstin, Tammie and Kay embark on an exciting journey, leading the business forward.
We are looking for either a second-year trainee, or qualified nurse to join our inclusive family-feel team. Here at South Shields, we pride ourselves on patient care, customer service and team wellbeing, and strongly believe that investing in your colleagues creates value and purpose.
We currently have 4 experienced vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVNs, 2 VCAs & 5 CCAs and would love the opportunity to welcome a new nurse to the team.
The practice itself has been established for 16 years and is lucky enough to have a very lovely, loyal, client base. We are committed to providing a positive experience for clients and their pets.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Ideally you will have 1 year + experience of working in a veterinary setting and completed your 1st year training. We do understand everyone is at different stages of their veterinary career so we can offer support where and if needed.
• You must be confident and enjoy dealing with clients. Professionalism and empathy are a must.
• This is ideally a full-time role but happy to discuss part time as we know the importance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
• You will be highly motivated with an enthusiasm to learn. We are happy to encourage and support clinical interests with a CPD allowance.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
• Competitive salary up to £30,000 (FTE) depending on your experience

• No OOH, 1 in 5 Saturday rota.
• 5.6 weeks holiday which will extend to 6.6 weeks after 2 years' service.
• An additional day off for your birthday after 1 years' service.
• Regular nurse meetings to discuss protocols, new products and cases.
• Full team meetings to ensure effective communication throughout.
• RCVS & VDS memberships paid, CPD supported including wide range of interests
