Role Overview
As a Weekend Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to individuals living in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and comfort. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing personal care such as washing, dressing, and supporting personal hygiene with dignity and respect
* Assisting with meal preparation, shopping, and light household tasks
* Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
* Prompting or administering medication according to care plans
* Observing and reporting any changes in wellbeing to the office or on-call team
* Travelling within Swadlincote - fuel allowance provided at 35p per mile
* Working weekends only — ideal for those seeking flexible hours or additional income

Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Access to your own vehicle
* Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday
* A caring, reliable, and compassionate approach
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn

What We Offer
* A rewarding role supporting people in their own homes
* Competitive pay rates:
o Unqualified Weekend Carers: £13.00–£19.80 per hour
o Qualified Weekend Carers (Level 2+): £14.00–£21.30 per hour
* 35p per mile fuel allowance
* Full in-house training and induction in Swadlincote
* Shadowing shifts before independent work
