Commercial Gas Engineer – North Division
Location: Covering the Northern Region – Including Manchester, East Midlands & Surrounding Areas
Salary: Up to £46,000 + Door-to-Door Travel + Company Van + Benefits

The Opportunity:
A leading HVAC and mechanical maintenance provider is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their growing team in the North. With a strong industry presence built over 20+ years, they are known for reliability, high standards, and genuinely looking after their engineers.
This is a field-based role responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of commercial gas, oil, and HVAC systems. Coverage will span the northern region, including Manchester and the East Midlands, so independence and flexibility are key. The team operates on a “job and knock” basis, meaning once your work and admin are complete, your day is done.
Key Responsibilities:
12. Planned and reactive maintenance of commercial gas, heating, oil, and HVAC systems
13. Fault-finding, diagnostics, and efficient repairs
14. Accurate completion of job sheets and compliance records
15. Participation in a 1-in-6 call-out rota (with standby pay and overtime)
16. Maintaining high service standards across all client sites
Requirements:
17. Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (ACS) – essential
18. F-Gas or other HVAC certifications – highly desirable
19. Proven experience in commercial building services
20. Full UK driving licence
21. Ability to work independently with strong communication skills
Working Hours:
Engineers are typically on-site by 8:00am. Start times are flexible depending on your location, and finish times are not fixed – the day ends once your work and admin are complete.
