We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Business Transformation Consultant to support high-impact transformation programmes across for major clients. Based in Scotland, with travel as required, this is an opportunity to contribute to major initiatives by shaping, planning and leading the delivery of major transformation programmes; embedding Collaborative Working, Continuous Improvement, and Change Management principles that enable lasting and sustainable change.
About the Role
As part of the Business Improvement and Transformation team, and reporting to a Senior Principal Consultant or Technical Director, you will work closely with both internal teams and external clients to deliver impactful change initiatives across a range of projects.
This role offers a diverse and collaborative environment, where you will engage with engineers, project managers, contractors, and commercial teams to drive transformation across organisations. You will support the identification of improvement opportunities, design practical approaches to managing transformation efforts at a programme level and help embed change effectively within client environments.
Your Impact
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and delivering transformation initiatives that create measurable and lasting improvements. By using data-driven insights and end-to-end process mapping, you will identify and plan the approach to leading and supporting people through improvement programmes designed to enhance performance and efficiency.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand the impact of proposed changes, mapping stakeholder landscapes and creating tailored communication and engagement strategies that support successful adoption. Through facilitating workshops and encouraging collaboration, you will help build alignment and maintain momentum across teams.
Taking ownership of change initiatives, you will plan and deliver engagement, communications and collaboration to agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with wider organisational objectives. From initial planning through to embedding new ways of working, you will help ensure that change is effectively implemented and sustained.
Alongside delivery, you will also capture and communicate the impact of transformation efforts, producing reports and case studies that demonstrate value and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
About You
You are a collaborative and driven change professional with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering effective transformation. You bring a strong understanding of business processes, alongside the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
You will bring:
1. Proven experience delivering change or transformation projects
2. Strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder management capability
3. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
4. Demonstrated experience embedding continuous improvement cultures
5. A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to align initiatives to wider business goals
6. Strong project management capability from initiation through to delivery
7. A solid understanding of operational business processes
Desirable:
8. Change management certifications (e.g. APMG, Prosci)
9. Programme Management and Benefits Management Experience in practice
10. Experience within a consultancy environment
11. Exposure to the regulated industries and capital delivery programmes especially with a focus on engineering and asset management.
