Your responsibilities
will include:
1. Management of complex cases
2. Care plan and treatment formulation, guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness
3. Liaison and collaborative working with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families and carers and other services/agencies
4. Mental Health Act implementation and liaison with Ministry of Justice (if applicable)
5. Multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and partnership working including oversight of the physical health management of patients in partnership with the visiting General Practitioner
6. Administrative duties associated with the care of patients including ensuring all NHSE contractual obligations are met
7. Contribution to clinical governance and responsibility for setting and monitoring standards
8. Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement activities and service/team evaluation and the planning of future service developments
9. Maintenance of professional registration with the General Medical Council and to abide by professional codes of conduct
* The hospital runs a two-tier on-call system with first tier on-call provided by associate specialists and agency on-call. The post holder will be required to be part of the second tier hospital on-call as the duty Responsible Clinician
To be successful in this role, you will need:
10. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
11. Full GMC registration with licence to practice
12. MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
13. To hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status.
14. Previous experience working in rehabilitation settings is desirable.
