This role will consist of day-to-day material handling operations within the stores department, responsible for moving, organizing and managing goods and materials within the yard and factory, whilst ensuring timely supply of materials to the manufacturing and production facility in line with the schedule. The main duties of the role include:
· The regular operation of stock assessment and control for various material lines, to ensure the correct stock levels are maintained on all products
· Organise and assemble kits and pre-assembled parts
· Organise outsourced materials both inward and outbound
· Feed and supply internal departments with material & kits in line with the required schedule in a timely manner ahead of production start to ensure production flow is maintained
· Forklift duties to include loading and unloading consignments of goods, ensuring storage of goods are in the designated storage areas
· Provide support and cover to stores as and when required
· Maintain and adhere to yard zoning and tidiness of the area to company standards
· Other relevant duties as required
Essential Criteria:
Hold a forklift licence
Full clean driving licence
Reliable and punctual with the ability to work on own initiative
Ability to work as part of a team to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and service
Desirable Criteria:
A working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
Previous stores experience, preferably within a Manufacturing / Engineering environment
Knowledge of MRP systems
