Do you have the ability to inspire students to explore the world around them and develop their geographical knowledge and skills as a Teacher of Geography?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join schools in Grantham starting in September 2025.
As a Teacher of Geography, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that encourage students to engage with the world’s landscapes, cultures, and environments. You will play a vital role in developing students' analytical and critical thinking abilities while fostering their curiosity about global issues.
Responsibilities of the Geography Teacher:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and informative Geography lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Inspire students to develop a keen interest in geographical concepts and global issues.
* Differentiate lessons to cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and understanding.
* Support students' academic progress and development through constructive feedback and guidance.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
* Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
* Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development.
Geography Teacher Skills & Qualification:
* A degree in Geography or a related field.
* Experience teaching Geography at secondary schools.
* Strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
