Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Assistant to join our growing team, delivering major civil engineering projects across Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure developments, primarily within the energy sector, including the construction of new substations that play a vital role in supporting Scotlands transition to net zero.

Your mission As a Commercial Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
Assist with the monthly cost and value reconciliation supplying requested information such as material and plant accruals
Input into the Assessed Cost Database or similar cost collation tool
Process Subcontractor payments
Bought ledger invoice clearance to agreed payment terms, raising queries with suppliers where necessary
Produce cost monitoring reports
Collate allocation sheets and records
Maintain document filing system
Collate commercial data into regular reports
Analyse collated data and exception reports
Assist in general with commercial functions
Attend meetings and training sessions
Maintain personal diary
Utilise computer software packages for word processing, spread-sheets, graphics and presentations
Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures to follow an agreed process for cost control
Who are we looking for? GCSE in English and Mathematics
Previous Industry experience would be an advantage

Demonstrate a desire to learn and progress
Show interest to increase your knowledge of the construction industry
Good communication skills
