As a Business Development Engineer – OEM, you’ll join a world-renowned manufacturer of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) technology, working with clients in the space, semiconductor, and advanced research sectors. With customers including NASA, CERN, and the European Space Agency, this is a chance to build long-term relationships and shape cutting-edge projects from the ground up. The Business Development Engineer – OEM will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting high-potential OEM opportunities. You’ll work closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams to deliver tailored solutions to our growing client base in the UK and overseas. Key Responsibilities: * Identify and engage new OEM clients through research, outreach, and technical presentations. * Build and manage relationships with engineering and procurement contacts. * Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and virtual conferences. * Deliver engaging technical webinars and product demonstrations. * Collaborate internally to tailor solutions and support product development roadmaps. * Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to inform strategy. What We’re Looking For: * A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). * Minimum 3 years in a technical or engineering role with customer-facing or sales responsibility. * Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and commercial stakeholders. * Strong communication and presentation skills (both digital and in-person). * Full UK driving licence and valid passport – some travel required. Desirable: * Experience working with or selling to OEM clients. * Experience in the scientific equipment or high-tech sectors. * Knowledge of the UHV sector is a plus.
