Overview
Our busy Children\'s Emergency Departments cover two sites - Queens Hospital in Romford and King George\'s Hospital in Goodmayes. We deliver a comprehensive range of general Paediatric and Surgical Services to our local communities. These are amongst the busiest Children\'s EDs in the country and we are always looking to build our team to provide the best service possible. Our CED team is constantly expanding, to support this you will be learning and developing your knowledge whilst ensuring your skills are kept fully up to date. You will be supported by our Practice Development Nurse, Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses, Matrons and members of the wider MDT Team. Delivers a high standard of patient centred care focusing on the essences of care and clinical safety.
Responsibilities
* Following the initial assessment and under supervision, manages a group of patients.
* Supports the senior emergency nurses and ED team by delivering a high standard of care and working within own scope of practice.
* Ensures that a high standard of infection prevention and control is maintained within the service.
* Develops themselves and supports others including students.
What we are looking for
* Enthusiastic, committed and hardworking Children\'s Nurse to join our ED team. We welcome both newly qualified and experienced children\'s nurses.
* You must be able to work well under pressure and have a willingness to learn and develop your own skills.
* The successful candidate will be expected to provide the highest standard of evidence based, patient centered care.

* All new staff appointed to posts are subject to a six month probationary period.
