Closing Date: 6th February 2026 Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £56,199- £59,652 Hours: 35 per week Location: Teith House We are looking for a Finance Team Leader (Services) to join our finance, accounting and budgeting service to provide excellent financial services to support Stirling’s ambitions to deliver the best outcomes for our communities. You will provide managerial, operational and strategic leadership to a team of qualified and non-qualified staff across the service accounting function. You will support services across the council to deliver their priorities by providing high quality financial management information and professional advice to budget managers. This is also an opportunity to review and develop current processes and practices to enhance service outcomes through best practice, benchmarking analysis and key financial drivers. Reporting to the Service Manager Finance you will ensure financial controls are compliant with financial regulations and codes of practice to secure probity. You will contribute to the council’s financial planning and the production of year end accounts and deputise for the Service Manager Finance, attending and advising a range of stakeholders including councillors and committees, and the council’s management team. The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant, with post qualification experience and continued professional development in these key areas and will also be able to demonstrate experience of delivering professional financial support services, and experience of leading a team of finance staff at a senior level. Experience of Oracle Fusion would be advantageous.
