Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Business Service Officer on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2026 in our Derby office. Whilst this role is part of a team based from our office in Derby your proximity to the office doesn't always have to be a critical consideration. Responsibilities
* monitoring case progression
* receiving referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team
* create / update / close cases within our case management system
* sending letters and information packs to service users
* identify any missing information and follow‑up as required
* receive and deal with telephone enquiries
* meet and greet visitors, including service users
* general admin support, While we will always try and respond as soon as possible we would not want you to miss the closing date before we can. Qualifications
* A relevant qualification in business administration (e.g. NVQ2), a willingness to work towards a qualification and/or significant experience in a similar role
* Confident and capable of using MS Office applications to a basic / intermediate level
* Clear, confident communicator via email, phone and in person
* Someone who thrives working in a team
* Able to prioritise work in a fast‑moving environment with strict deadlines
