Site Security Manager
Location: Speke, Liverpool, L24
Salary: £46,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 55 hours per week
Grade: Site Rated
We are looking for a professional and motivated Site Security Manager to oversee security operations at a leading global pharmaceutical and scientific research facility in Speke, Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high‑profile contract where security plays a vital role in protecting people, property, research, and business operations. Working closely with the UK North Contract Manager, you will help shape the future of security delivery across the account, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and operational excellence.
As Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for leading the on‑site security team, maintaining exceptional service standards, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and continuously improving security operations. Your leadership will help create a positive team culture while ensuring the site remains safe, secure, and compliant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing the on‑site security team, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Working closely with the UK North Contract Manager to elevate security delivery standards across the contract.
- Setting clear expectations and promoting consistency and standardisation across all security operations.
- Monitoring individual and team performance, providing coaching, support, and development where required.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Managing site operations and ensuring all security procedures are followed effectively.
- Conducting audits, inspections, and reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigating incidents, identifying trends, and implementing preventative measures where appropriate.
- Producing accurate reports and maintaining operational records using Office 365 and other security systems.
- Acting as a key point of contact for operational matters and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promoting Securitas' Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness through your leadership and decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Licence.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous security management experience (Supervisor level or above).
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing or previously having managed teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and confident learning new systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
- Ability to monitor and manage both personal performance and the performance of colleagues.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
