Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SLD Support pupils' communication, sensory, and independence needs Work closely with support staff and therapists to create a holistic learning environment Use a range of assessment tools to track and report progress Foster a calm, structured, and safe learning space Collaborate with parents and external professionals to support pupil development Contribute to the wider school community and its inclusive ethos Qualifications and Experience QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching pupils with SLD or complex needs Strong classroom management and adaptive teaching strategies Passion for inclusive, child-centred education Excellent communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of SEND strategies, EHCPs, and safeguarding procedures Makaton, PECS, or similar communication tool knowledge (desirable) At SENDirect, we're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
