Summary of Position: Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer must be able to work independently and effectively within a team. The individual must be able to comply with all quality standards applicable to Westley Engineering, including an understanding of IATF & AS9100 The Quality Engineer will need to communicate effectively with other QA professionals, suppliers, and customers at all levels. The role requires a hands-on engineer who can adapt to various situations, from day-to-day production inspections to customer PPAP documentation. The role will be based primarily in Birmingham, but travel throughout the UK may be required. Duties and Responsibilities: * You will work closely with the production team to audit their processes and assist them in reducing waste and non-conformities. * Complete first-off reports, initial sample inspection reports, and capability studies for both production and trial components. * Use and calibration of vernier calipers, micrometers, dial test indicators, slip gauges, height gauges, Go/No-Go gauges, etc. * Use of CMM, Shadow Graph, Keyence, Tensile Tester, and Spectrometer. * Help support the maintenance of the organisation's ISO registration, including conducting Internal Audits. * Drive and develop internal, supplier, customer, and third-party quality system audits. * Assist Quality Manager with any departmental activities * Assist...
