To assist the site manager and supervise the M&E scope of works on site including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring any subcontractors whilst feeding back the necessary information to the site manager.
1. Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site.
2. Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed
3. Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
4. Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner
5. To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels
6. To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively
7. To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team
8. To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions
9. To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded
10. Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business.
11. Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
12. Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as built drawings
13. Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including Low Voltage procedures and Impressed Voltage procedures
14. Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project
15. Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.
16. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff.
17. Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.
18. Responsible for interpreting the organization's policies, purposes, and goals to staff.
19. Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.
20. Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies.
21. Responsible for diversity initiatives.
22. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
24. General Certificate of Secondary Education applicable years of exp in lieu of degree 8 years experience in the T&D industry in an M&E role, preferably on National Grid sites Required
25. Full UK driving licence
26. Nation Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full
27. IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS
28. IOSH environmental or equivalent
29. CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
30. Previous experience in a supervisory level
31. HNC / HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
32. Formal Electrical / Mechanical training
33. Impressed Voltage training
34. Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience
35. IOSH environmental or equivalent
36. HSG47
37. IOSH environmental or equivalent
