Location: Strensham
Duration: Minimum 6 Months (Likely Extension)
Shifts: Split Shift (typically 1pm–11pm or 2pm–12am)
The Opportunity
Are you a seasoned Site Agent looking for your next contract? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor delivering critical infrastructure works. You’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing site operations, managing handovers, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery across a high-profile civil engineering scheme.
Key Responsibilities
As Site Agent, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of on-site operations, particularly during the evening and night shifts. You'll coordinate the daily handover process, ensuring a smooth transition between shift teams. You’ll manage subcontractors, direct labour, and available resources to meet project objectives and maintain momentum. Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations will be a core part of your role, along with monitoring progress against programme, addressing any risks or issues, and reporting accordingly. You’ll also oversee quality control measures, maintain detailed site records, and liaise with project stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Site Agent with demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure or civil engineering projects, ideally within the water, drainage, or highways sectors. A background with Tier 1 contractors is highly desirable, as is a strong understanding of construction site protocols and the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively. You'll need to be confident in your knowledge of health and safety standards, with excellent communication and organisational skills. While a valid Highways Passport is preferred, training can be provided for the right candidate.
Additional Information
This is a long-term opportunity with potential for weekend overtime. The role is shift-based, supporting smooth operational handovers between day and night teams, and offers a chance to be involved in a high-profile civil engineering programme from an early stage.
