Job Title: Cleaner
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £13 – £17 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated and dependable Cleaners to work in schools across Newcastle.
This rewarding role involves ensuring school premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will help create a safe, tidy, and positive environment for students, staff, and visitors throughout the school day.
Main Responsibilities of a Cleaner:
* Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school site
* Safely use cleaning equipment and products
* Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies where required
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times
* Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain tidy surroundings
* Report maintenance or health and safety concerns promptly
* Work collaboratively with school staff and site teams
School Cleaner Requirements:
* Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures
* Strong communication skills
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
