Overview
The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity that has transformed the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 40 years. Aspire is a partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). It combines NHS provision under the leadership of a consultant with the strengths of the voluntary sector provided by ADS. The partnership has worked together for over 20 years to provide Drug and Alcohol Services to local communities, offering flexible and responsive services and the best possible outcomes for service users and communities.
It is an exciting time to work in the drug and alcohol field with significant new career developments. The community teams are the core element of the service, focusing on longer-term case management and improved outcomes for adults with issues around all substances. The role includes strong key-working and care plan approaches, with support from our prescribing team for specialist interventions and harm reduction, helping people lead fulfilling lives in their local communities.
Responsibilities (example scope)
If you are a qualified and registered Social Worker, you will contribute to: - Working with substance users within community teams to provide case management and care planning - Supporting specialist prescribed interventions and harm reduction through the prescribing team - Encouraging recovery and positive outcomes within local communities
Qualifications
- Qualified and registered Social Worker with interest or experience in working with substance users - For newly qualified Social Workers, ADS supports the ASYE programme
